I have listed suggested activities to work on so that your child can maintain what they have been learning in class.

Read daily- Use good habits for hard words
-stop at the first sign of trouble
-try something (get a running start, look at the picture, look at each part of the word, try it 2 ways)
-triple check! (Does it look right? Does it sound right? Does it make sense?)

Journal- Write a journal daily. Focus on printing neatly, punctuation, uppercase letter in the correct places.   Have students to make up stories that “could have happened.”  You may need to make up one together to give them an idea.  In class we brainstorm ideas before we write.

Math- each day- practice Math facts

Science- Looking for fun Science activities at home, check out www.weareteachers.com/3rd-grade-science-projects/

Social Studies- Get to know our community, learn about maps, explore Santa Clara County.
